What a great idea

I wanted to make fabric flowers and I was having a hard time getting the fabric to twist just right, I saw this ugly rug at the dollar store and thought it would work perfect for flowers. Not to mention it was only a dollar and can make at least 50 flowers.

First, cut the strings of the rug apart.

Than, use adhesive or superglue to start the middle of the flower by wrapping around and around tack every once in a while with glue (to much will make it to stiff).

Continue wrapping in a cinnamon roll design until it's the size you want.

If you want to add tooling or lace on the back side and small buttons or beads in the center

Adding flowers to a string of pearls and beads makes a super cute necklace.

Vintage Labels

I thought these turned out so cute, I was inspired from the Ballard Designs catalog. They have a print like the cherry one and I made it first. Than I was sad because red doesn't match my kitchen, so I made up the lemon design.
check out ballarddesign.com they have way cute stuff.

You Lift Me Up

There are hardly words...

but one word can mean so much.

Blocks are awesome. They can be so original. I have never duplicated a set of blocks that I've made so if you have one of my block sets it is a one of a kind there isn't another one around.

Awesome Holiday Decorations

Lovin That Frame

If a pictures worth a thousand words shouldn't the frame that it's in be too! I am a HUGE fan of picture frames. I started making my own when I couldn't find any cute ones at the store. I think that frames are great ways to make a room personal.
