Wool plaid skirt

Today I made this plaid skirt. For some reason I love plaid it just makes me feel happy when I see a cute chunky pattern. And everything is cute when finished with a bow.

you can do anything if you try

These are just a few things that I have made this past 6 months that I really like. I always have fun making new stuff and I rarely if ever duplicate anything that takes the fun right out of it.

A house of order

Mason Jars are so awesome you can add them to anything to organize. I made this shelf for my childrens room to put art supplies in. Just screw the lids to the wood and the jars can be taken off.

Ring around the Rosie

I made this wreath using the tutorial on the diycrafts.blogspot sight it is an awesome blog you'll have to check it out.

Im so board bag

My kids always say "mom i'm so board" especially when I'm trying to keep them quiet in church. I'm a busy mom of three and rarely get it all together as I'm running out the door so all to often I don't bring the necessary entertainment. I made these bags with my oldest two, it was a fun activity to make together as we designed their favorite things to decorate them. Now on Sunday morning they pack their own bag with snacks, coloring, scriptures, small toys and whatever they need. It was so good to not hear "mom i'm board" as we attended our church meetings last week.

Dress up a wall for under $20

I picked up some frames at a yard sale for $1.00 each and they had mats so I got a can of cream spray paint and some black craft paint and worked my magic. Then i noticed a scrap piece of wood in the garage that I used for the "together we have it all" saying. Using my computer and a piece of my favorite scrabok paper i printed the saying on it and modge podged it to the board. Finishing it all with a scratching of my sandpaper...fun, simple, affordable, and super cute too.
